Getting started

Static or dynamic: which one do you need

A static code is permanent and free forever. A dynamic code can be edited after it is printed.

The difference

A static QR code contains your link inside the pattern itself. Nothing sits in between, so it works forever, needs no account, and cannot be edited. Change your mind about the destination and you reprint.

A dynamic QR code points at a short QRSansar link that redirects to your destination. The pattern never changes, so the printed code stays valid while you edit where it goes. It also means scans can be counted.

Choose static when

The destination will never change: a WiFi password on a fridge magnet, a vCard on a business card, a crypto address, a permanent product page you control.

Choose dynamic when

Anything about the destination might move: a campaign landing page, a menu that changes seasonally, a PDF you will replace, a link you want to measure.

What it costs

Dynamic codes need an account. Free accounts can hold 2 dynamic codes and create 1 per day, which is enough to try the idea properly. Premium removes that ceiling. The limits are shown on the pricing page and can change, so treat these numbers as today's.

The mistake to avoid is printing a static code for a destination you will want to move. The reprint costs more than the plan.
