One On-Pack QR Covers Every EU Country's Disposal Rules

Polypropylene (resin code 5) is the second-most common food-contact plastic in Europe, and every member state collects it differently. A Recycle-Link QR resolves the right answer at scan time, so rule changes never force a reprint.

PP5 Is Recyclable Everywhere but Collected Differently in Every EU Market

Polypropylene rigid containers go in the Gelber Sack in Germany, the bac de tri jaune in France, the Raccolta plastica in Italy, the PMD blue bag in Belgium, and to specialist drop-off in parts of Italy and Greece. Films and small caps often need a different stream entirely. A static recycling triangle on the pack cannot capture that nuance, and EU PPWR (effective from 2026) explicitly requires consumer-facing disposal information harmonised across the single market. Brands either reprint label artwork country-by-country at €0.008 to €0.02 per unit, or they ship one QR that resolves the right answer per scan.

One Recycle-Link QR per SKU. Localised on Scan.

QRSansar's PP5 disposal generator emits a permanent QR pointing at qrsansar.com/pp5-info, with the country, disposal route, brand and EPR registration ID embedded in the link. When a consumer in Berlin scans, they see Gelber Sack guidance in German. A consumer in Lisbon sees Ecoponto amarelo guidance in Portuguese. Update the route or the on-pack landing copy from one place, and the printed QR on every unit already in market reflects the change instantly.

EU-27 + EEA Coverage

Pre-loaded localised guidance for all 27 EU member states plus Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The generator has a searchable country picker: type 'Ger' for Germany or 'FR' for France.

Route-Aware Instructions

Pick the right stream per pack format: plastics recycling, general waste, drop-off, or composite separation. The landing page copy adapts to the scanner's country and the route you selected.

EPR ID Travels With the QR

Optional producer registration field carries your LUCID, UIN, CONAI or equivalent number. Auditable trail from on-pack mark back to your registered EPR scheme participant record.

Capabilities Designed for Enterprise Operations

Bulk Generation by SKU Ship across all 27 markets in one print run

Upload a CSV of SKUs with country, route and brand attributes; download a print-ready bundle of QRs. Designed for product ranges where each format needs its own pack-specific QR.

PPWR & 94/62/EC Alignment

Generated QRs follow the consumer-information principles of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation and the existing Directive 94/62/EC marking rules. Always print the chasing-arrows ♻ 5 PP triangle beside the QR, because the QR augments the legally required visual mark and never replaces it.

Update Once, Reflect Everywhere

When a country changes its plastics collection rules, update the landing-page guidance in one place. Every QR already printed on packaging in market immediately resolves to the corrected instructions, with no recall and no relabelling.

Calculate Your Multi-Market Reprint Avoidance

Producers placing a PP5 SKU on multiple EU markets typically face country-specific label runs at €0.008 to €0.02 per unit when local rules change. A Recycle-Link QR collapses that into one print run:

Built for Enterprise PP5 Packaging Compliance

30 EU + EEA Localisations Built-In

We track local plastics-stream nomenclature (Gelber Sack, Bac jaune, PMD, Ecoponto) so consumer instructions sound native rather than translated. Add new municipalities or update bin names without touching artwork.

Same Generator, Same QR Engine

PP5 disposal QRs share the QRSansar engine that powers BPAY, EPC, GS1 Digital Link and 27 other types. It is a standard QR that works with every smartphone camera since 2018, with no app needed.

Browser-Only Generation

Brand names, EPR IDs and SKU data never leave your browser at generation time. That keeps the generator compliance-friendly by default: we ingest no producer data, and no DPA needs negotiating for the generator itself.

How to Set Up QRSansar for PP5 Packaging Compliance

  1. Open the PP5 Generator

Go to /pp5-disposal, type the country of placement (e.g. Germany, France, Italy) and pick the disposal route most accurate for the pack format.

  2. Add Brand and EPR Registration

Optionally include your brand name and EPR scheme number: LUCID for Germany, UIN for France, CONAI for Italy. These travel with the QR for compliance auditing.

  3. Print Beside the Resin Triangle

Download the QR in print-ready PNG, SVG or PDF. Place it on packaging artwork next to the chasing-arrows ♻ 5 PP triangle. Always include a short plain-text disposal hint for non-smartphone users.

  4. Preview the Consumer Experience

Share /pp5-info/sample with stakeholders to demonstrate exactly what a consumer sees when they scan a QR off the shelf in any of the 30 supported markets.

Ready to See It in Action?

Our team will map QRSansar Enterprise to your specific pp5 packaging compliance workflow rather than running a generic demo.

Aligned to EU Directive 94/62/EC and the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR). qrsansar.com is not an EPR scheme operator. Register your packaging with your national scheme (LUCID, Citeo, CONAI, FTI, etc.) to lawfully place products on EU markets.
