Shorten any page from your bookmarks bar
One bookmark, no extension to install. On any web page, click it and the page arrives in the QRSansar builder with its address and title filled in. Save it as a dynamic QR and you have a short link you can retarget later, plus a QR code that points at it.

Can't see your bookmarks bar?
- Chrome, Edge, Brave: press Ctrl+Shift+B (⌘+Shift+B on a Mac) to show it, then drag the button onto it.
- Firefox: right-click the toolbar, choose Bookmarks Toolbar, then Always Show. Then drag the button onto it.
- Safari: in the View menu choose Show Favorites Bar, then drag the button onto it.
- Any browser: bookmark this page, then edit the bookmark and replace its address with the code below.

What happens when you click it

The page is handed to the builder
A new tab opens on QRSansar with the page's address in the URL field and its title as the label. You already have a static QR code at this point, no account needed.

You save it as a dynamic QR
Click Save as Dynamic QR. If you are not signed in you will be asked to, and you come straight back to the same prefilled page afterwards.

You get the short link
Copy it, print the QR, and change where it points any time from your dashboard. The bookmarklet is recorded as the source, so you can tell these apart from links you made by hand.
On a phone, share instead
Bookmarks bars barely exist on phones, but the share sheet does the same job. Add QRSansar to your home screen from the browser menu, and it appears as a target in the Share menu of every page. Choosing it opens the same prefilled builder the bookmarklet does.
Questions
Do I need an account?
Yes, to get the short link. Every short link on QRSansar is a dynamic QR that belongs to an account, which is what lets you change where it points later and see how often it is scanned. The bookmarklet works without signing in: you get a static QR code for the page straight away, and the sign-in step appears only when you save it as a short link. Signing in brings you straight back to the prefilled page.
What does the bookmarklet send?
Only the address and the title of the page you are on, and only when you click it. It does not run in the background, does not read the page's content, and sends nothing to anyone but QRSansar. The whole thing is one short line of JavaScript you can read on this page before you install it.
Why does it open the builder instead of giving me the link in one click?
Because your browser, correctly, does not let a script on someone else's website act on your QRSansar account. A one-click version would need us to weaken that protection or to hide an API key inside the bookmark, where every site you visit could read it. Two clicks on our own page is the honest trade.
How many short links can I make?
A free account can hold 2 dynamic QR codes and create 1 per day, once the account is a few days old. Premium and enterprise plans raise those limits considerably. The bookmarklet uses the same allowance as the rest of the site, so it never spends a link without showing you the builder first.
Does it work on my phone?
Phones make bookmarklets awkward, so use the share sheet instead. Install QRSansar from the browser menu, then choose QRSansar in the Share menu of any page: it opens the same prefilled builder. On iPhone you can also bookmark any page in Safari, then edit that bookmark and paste the code below as its address.
Will it work on every website?
On every normal web page, yes. It cannot run on browser pages such as a new tab, settings or the extensions gallery, on local files, or on a PDF opened directly in the browser, and it will tell you so rather than sending you to an empty form.
